Velden Engineering is a family owned business. Founded by Alex Kitchen in 1973, the company has built a reputation for excellence in UK precision engineering over more than fifty years.
From our 40,000 sq ft workshop at Columbia Mill in Bolton, we deliver precision machining, fabrication, assembly and system build to a vast range of industry sectors — from aerospace and defence to power distribution, semiconductor and motorsport.
We do not simply supply components but also offer a range of value added services including plating, painting, welding, fabrication, assembly and system build.

From the M62 & The South+
On the M60 leave at Junction 15 for the M61 towards Preston/Wigan/Bolton – Move into 2 lanes on right for A666 to Bolton. Follow the A666 (St. Peter's Way) signs A673 Preston (do not take any of the slip roads for Bolton south or town centre). At the first set of traffic lights turn left following signs for Preston A673 past Gordons Ford dealership on your right and through to the next set of lights. Position yourself in the middle lane and bear right onto St Georges Rd. Stay in the left lane and continue through one set of lights and after approx 200 metres bear left onto Chorley New Road at the next set of lights. After approx 250 metres turn right into Bedford Street immediately after the first pelican crossing opposite the entrance to Queens Park. Velden is situated in the mill at the end of Bedford St.
From the M61 & The North+
Leave M61 at Junction 6 turning right at the roundabout onto the A6027 towards Bolton. Continue past the Reebok Stadium until you arrive at the major roundabout at the Beehive Pub. Turn right onto Chorley New Road and continue for approximately 3 miles. You will pass Bolton School on the right and shortly after you will see Queens Park also on the right. Turn left into Bedford Street immediately before the pelican crossing. Velden is situated in the mill at the end of Bedford St.
